“Measures" was my first project straight out of film school, and it marked the beginning of my journey into storytelling.
I was eager to share my influences through a series of short films, inspired by where I grew up.

The concept centered around a group of young friends spiralling into a cycle of bad decisions—lost in violence and drugs, unable to escape the consequences. It was heavy, yes, but there was something deeply rewarding about bringing it to life.

We shot the entire series on a Canon 5D MkII with no lights, no sound operators, and no permits—just me, a friend, and an incredibly talented group of young actors who believed in the vision. I wrote each episode during the week and filmed on weekends, with no budget and no expectations, just the pure excitement of creating something from scratch. Nobody got paid, but the experience was priceless.

At 21, I had no idea what I was doing, but I followed my instincts and let passion drive me. I'm proud of what we accomplished, and the support from everyone involved made all the difference. The project even won a small award, and I had the chance to share it in a magazine interview, FILMINK magazine.

"Measures" will always be a reminder that with a camera, an idea, and a bit of determination and little naiveness anything is possible. I've come a long way since then, and there's still so much more to do. Storytelling is my heart, and this no-budget, one-man-band series was a raw, unpolished reflection of that dream—one that continues to fuel me every day”
