"An Ode to Aussie Farmers" was a deeply meaningful mini-documentary series, created to honour the incredible dedication of our Aussie farmers. It was a heartfelt tribute to their tireless work and unwavering family values. We wanted to give something back by offering a surprising and emotional gift, celebrating over 90 years of supporting Australian-grown grains, and the remarkable people behind them.
Filming this project was an unforgettable experience. The location, though beautiful, was harsh—intense heat, dusty terrain, and the constant risk of falling into deep pits…almost. It was a one-man-band situation for me on the technical side, with only a micro crew consisting of the Creative Director, one Producer, and myself. To make it even more challenging, OH! and swarms of flies while trying to keep the shot steady.
Despite these obstacles, I had the privilege of spending two to three days with these inspiring farmers and their families in a course of 3 weeks, hearing their stories and getting to know them on a personal level. It was a rare and special moment that I will cherish forever. The toughest challenges are often the most rewarding, and these hard-working Aussie farmers are a true testament to that."
